The Foundation aims to increase the value of particular research area: biotechnologies for health and industrial biotechnologies.

Taking into account the synergy net with neighbouring and complementary areas, the Foundation also intends to promote a coordination among the different management levels that can work together in the definition and realization of the policies in its sector. The goal is to outline an organic and integrated strategy for the development of the biotechnological research in the Life Sciences field and to encourage the creation of high competitive initiatives.
