PROVINCIA DI VARESE

One of the Provincia di Varese’s institutional aims, is to provide incentives to high culture entities and to universities that are situated in its area and to promote scientific and technical research oriented to process and product innovation for the local productive system. Moreover, it points at promote collaboration with municipalities and other territorial and instrumental public entities and, together with the Cantone Ticino’s Institutions, it would like to create, maintaining reciprocal autonomy, a common strategy to achieve the purposes.

The Work Community Regio Insubrica, established in 1995 in Varese, has the important aim to promote the border cooperation in the Italian-Swiss region of the Tre Laghi Prealpini and to encourage the consciousness of being part of a territory that, besides the institutional borders, is written in the geography, history, culture and language of the populations that, from time immemorial, have lived in the Canton Ticino and Como, Lecco, Varese, Novara, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola provinces.
